Black Wolf Farm

About the Farm

Black Wolf Farm is situated on 28 acres in the town of Black Wolf. It is a small family farm that consists of four stalls, hay room, tack room, shavings nook, grain area and a workshop. Outside features two large pastures and a sand work ring that is great for starting young horses.

Alicia Witzke ran Black Wolf Farm with her dad, Larry Plamann, until about 2006 when Alicia was given the business fully in her name.

From about 2006 until 2009 Alicia ran a full time training barn out of a couple of different barns over the years, which she leased. She guided many young horses and young riders into the show ring, producing some Regional Champions as well as a Reserve Grand National title with a Junior rider. As the economy took a hit, Alicia was forced to make some life changing decisions.

As of January 1st, 2010 Black Wolf Farm closed its doors to the public and is working towards becoming an Amateur run facility. Black Wolf has also moved back to it's original beginnings, her parents farm. Alicia hopes to have her Amateur status for show season 2011.
